Digital Solutions Korea 2024: Recap of the EU Business Hub’s first business mission in the Republic of Korea

The EU Business Hub’s first business mission: Digital Solutions Korea 2024, took place in Seoul from 2 to 6 December 2024, connecting 35 European SMEs and startups with the Korean market.

Business Mission  Highlights

The business mission brought together a diverse group of European companies, specialised in digital sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI),  software solutions, Internet of Things (IoT), digital technologies, and more. 

Taking place in Seoul, one of the world’s top Technology Hub,  the objective of the business mission was to foster EU-Republic of Korea business collaboration, enhance new market opportunities, and create long-term partnerships through various activities such as B2B matchmaking, networking events, and site visits.

Key Achievements

The matchmaking exhibition event of the business mission lasted three days, during which each European company was able to connect with potential Korean partners, laying the foundation for future collaborations.  Participants also had the chance to attend site visits to renowned Korean Tech companies such as LG, Hanwha Vision, and EXEM.

A visit to Softwave 2024 , a major technology event attended by over 20,000 participants and featuring more than 300 exhibitors, also allowed participants to meet additional relevant local stakeholders to further enhance their market opportunities. 

The first of many business missions

Digital Solutions Korea 2024 reached the EU Business Hub’s objective of building bridges between Europe’s and the Republic of Korea’s digital sectors. For European participating companies, the business mission proved to be an opportunity to establish connections with Korean counterparts, explore partnerships, and expand their network in the target market. 

This business mission was the first of a series of ten business missions foreseen over the next three years in the Republic of Korea, with the EU Business Hub’s upcoming business mission: Healthcare & Medical Equipment Korea 2025,  taking place in Seoul in just a few weeks, from 17 to 21 March.
